You obvi don’t know much about financial services. Ponzi schemes are rare, and the vast majority of the people working on Wall Street are doing the best to help their clients make money. It is ultimately the responsibility of the company pension plan’s Due Diligence team to make sure they are investing in good, trustworthy financial instruments. A lot of people like myself, are not the “big bad evil banks” you villianize us into being. We are hard working people just like most in this capitalist economy. We struggle with the economic ups and downs too.
Yes, “obvi” I don’t. The people who are among the top 1% struggle with the ups and downs of the economy? No: they don’t.
Ponzi schemes aren’t rare, unless you’re referring to the fact that the entire fucking system is operating as a federally-guaranteed ponzi scheme. I’m not talking about Bernie Madoff, I’m talking about JP Morgan, Bear Stearns, Countrywide, etc. The responsibility of the due diligence team of the pension plan? THE ENTIRE ECONOMY COLLAPSED.
Wow.

If you are so annoyed about being impoverished, GO TO SCHOOL. Get an education and become part of that 1%. And instead of occupying Wall Street, go to D.C. if you have a problem with the government. Businesses are doing what they are supposed to be doing in a capitalist economy — make profits.
She then asks how this is Wall Street’s fault, and then asked what good sitting in the streets would do:
How is this Wall Street’s fault? I can’t even.
I suggest you watch this: http://english.aljazeera.net/programmes/meltdown/2011/09/2011914105518615434.html
And I don’t know how protesting would ever bring about change. I mean, it’s absolutely, never, worked before.

You have absolutely no idea what you are talking about. The real unemployment rate in this country is around 16.5%. Real wages have been declining for decades. College grad wages have declined 3.5% in one year! All the while, student loan debt continues to increase. GOING TO SCHOOL, as you put it, is often not a GOOD INVESTMENT. People became million and billionaires by selling worthless financial products, which, what do you know, ended up destroying the economy, screwing people out of their retirements, and then these companies got bailed out by the federal government.
“Common Burn” New Mazzy Star. Hope Sandoval comes through for me to prevent my head from exploding from this bullshit in Oakland and this bullshit with Ed Lee.
Why do you eat so many pudding pops, man?
And foie. foie for my third choice. Also foie for sheriff.
I’m voting 1. Adachi 2. Avalos 3. Don’t know, anybody but Ed Lee
Thank you for your condolences.
